The Sons Of Champlin

Originally formed by front man Bill Champlin, the Sons are an American rock band hailing from Marin County, CA. The Sons originally signed with Capitol Records and released their first studio album Loosen Up Naturally and their title album The Sons in 1969, The Summer of Love. During this pivotal  time the San Francisco music scene included the Fillmore and Avalon ballrooms. When the Sons joined this musical and cultural revolution they earned a reputation as a group of R&B and jazz musicians far above the caliber of the electrified folk-rockers who formed the core of the scene. The Sons disbanded in 1977 and reunited in 1997. Since 1997 the Sons have performed special one off dates . Now the Sons are back with an all-star line-up of original members and talented musicians.
